Principal Message
Jesus the Good Shepherd
Last weekend, the Church celebrated “Jesus the Good Shepherd.” In the Gospel of John, Jesus declares, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11). Just as Jesus tends to His flock with gentleness and care, we are tasked with fostering a nurturing environment where our children can grow in faith, love, and understanding. As we entrust our children to the loving care of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, let us take comfort in knowing that they are held in the palm of His hand. May we, as parents and guardians, strive to cultivate a faith-filled environment where Christ's teachings are heard and lived out in our daily lives.
ANZAC Day
On Wednesday, we acknowledged ANZAC Day with a prayer service led by our Year 6 students; today, our Year 5 students shared an ANZAC Assembly. ANZAC Day commemorates the landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. We reflect on the impact of war, conflict, and peacekeeping operations in Australia’s history and pray for those involved in wars, their families, and for peace.
Staff
A special welcome to Monica Mangiapia and Catherine Brannen, who join our staff this Term. Monica will be working as a General assistant in Year 3, and Catherine will be working as a Special needs assistant across the school.
School Values
This Term, the school value we focus on is Community - We encourage strong partnerships with families to help foster student development.
WA Student Assistance Payment
On 17 March 2024, the Hon. Roger Cook MLA, and the Minister for Education, Hon. Dr Tony Buti MLA, announced the WA Student Assistance Payment. This initiative invites families to register their claim for payment via the ServiceWA app. This is a $150 for each primary school student. Please find more information below:

Levels of Behaviour
We have introduced a school-wide behaviour system known as "Levels of Behaviour,” which will be fully implemented this term. This consistent approach ensures a common understanding among children and adults about behaviour. Every class has crafted a Purpose Statement defining students' reasons for attending school. Additionally, they have commenced identifying helpful and unhelpful behaviours.
God Bless

Seniors Leader Message
Hello students and families,
Welcome to Term Two. First, we would like to thank the previous Senior Leaders in Term One for a great job. We are honoured to be chosen as Term Two leaders, and are happy to be a part of the captain community. We are ready to take on our leadership responsibilities and help the best we can.
On Wednesday we held an ANZAC Day commemoration and we would like to thank the Year Six leaders who participated and lead the service. This term we are focusing on reducing our use of plastic and being environmental friendly- we encourage and remind everyone that Tuesdays and Thursdays are waste free! We hope you enjoyed reading this article as much as we enjoy being your Senior Leaders.
Ethan and Mariah.
