Message from the Principal

Camp

This week the Year 6 students attended Ern Halliday Recreation Camp. They engaged in several exciting activities such as archery, the big swing, surf lifesaving, beach challenges, orienteering and a bike pump course.  It was wonderful to witness the students in an environment where we were able to see them challenge themselves. I was extremely proud of the way in which they conducted themselves and worked cooperatively with each other. A big thank you to Mrs Smith-Webb, Mrs Caridi, Mr B and Mrs Manifold for making sure that while on camp the students were happy, safe and cared for.

Staffing

Congratulations to Catherine Lucente on her appointment to Emmaus Catholic school. I wish her all the best on her new appointment. I would also like to congratulate Shannon Nash and Tracy Hill who have announced that they are pregnant.

Remembrance Day

The Knitting Club and Art & Craft Club students made poppies using different materials for Remembrance Day. The Year 6 students did an amazing job running the Remembrance Day service. The band also did a wonderful job. I was very impressed with the way in which the students participated both reverently and respectfully.

Message from the Year 6 Senior Leaders

Camp was amazing, on the first day of camp we settled in and got our dorms. We then split up into our groups and did archery, the big swing and beach activities. The next morning, we had baked beans, eggs, toast, and bacon. Then we did a pump track, more beach activities and orienteering. For dinner, we had chicken and rice. We then went for a walk to the park, then to the beach, played Frisbee and dug holes. Then, unfortunately, our camp ended.
